I have read countless WWII book and have not heard of the Mountain Division. This was a fascinating story of their contribution to the war effort. The courage, rigorous and exhausting training, intelligence and fitness level is beyond my imagination. I became somewhat lost in the various names of characters as well as mountain names and military maneuvers but overall this we extremely well written.
