For the first time ever, I was able to pack carry-on only for my daughter and I for a weekend trip using this book. Not only is this book great for packing tips, but it also gives you awesome formulas for putting together capsule wardrobes. I used this book to put together a capsule for my daughter, son, husband and myself. If you have read Marie Kondo's The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up, then this book is a great companion, especially if you are traveling. Reading this book, visiting Alexandra's blog/website, watching her youtube videos, gave me the confidence to know I never need to check a bag again. Even though I was only going for a weekend, I packed a capsule that would have allowed many different outfit changes. I washed clothing in my room as an experiment, and it worked beautifully. I cannot recommend this book enough if you are a traveler. Even if you are a huge Rick Steves fan, etc., you can still learn a lot from this book. Thanks to "Pack Stylishly Light," I think I'm ready to backpack through Europe. LOVE THIS BOOK!!!
